Revisions to the DWQMS have been posted for comment on the Environmental Registry

The Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change is proposing revisions to the Drinking Water Quality Management Standard (DWQMS).  The DWQMS sets out the criteria that must be met for mandatory quality management systems established in municipal residential drinking water systems.
The revisions are administrative in nature and intended to clarify existing requirements and to ensure that consideration is given to the potential impacts of climate change when the risks to a drinking water system are being assessed by the system owner or operating authority.
If you would like to review or comment on the proposed revisions, they are currently posted on the Environmental Registry for public comment at EBR Registry Number 012-5530. The comment period will be open until December 24, 2015.
