Notice of Release of the Minister’s Annual Report on Drinking Water 2016

Please be advised that today the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change released the Minister’s Annual Report on Drinking Water 2016. It is available online at ontario.ca/drinkingwater.

The Minister’s Annual Report on Drinking Water 2016 highlights the work Ontario is doing to protect our drinking water. This year’s report includes information on the effects of climate change on our water resources and specific actions we are undertaking to address these challenges.

The report shows that Ontario’s drinking water continues to be of high quality and is well protected. The ministry and its partners are working together to ensure that Ontario’s drinking water continues to remain among the best protected in the world.

University of Toronto Researcher Investigating Sustainable Stormwater Management Design Process

You are invited to take part in a research survey regarding the collaboration of urban site design teams (architects, landscape architects, engineers, planners etc.) in the design of sustainable stormwater management systems. This research is being conducted through the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Toronto in collaboration with Impact Infrastructure Canada, Inc. Your participation will provide insights into the roles of each discipline in urban site design and how these roles affect the proliferation of sustainable stormwater management systems. This research will help provide a foundation to create design tools and software that are accessible to the various disciplines involved in the design process in an effort to promote sustainable site design. Please complete this on-line survey to be a part of this exciting research study!

ICA2017 Call for Abstracts

12th IWA Specialized Conference on Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA2017), 11 – 14 June 2017, Québec City, Canada

ICA2017 is an IWA specialized conference that promotes ongoing dialogues between experts from various types of organizations and application fields by providing a regular forum to facilitate discussion on methodologies and international experiences on all aspects of sensor technology, instrumentation, control and automation for water and wastewater treatment and transport systems.

The program will be based on an open call for contributions. Those who wish to present at ICA2017 are encouraged to submit a 2+2 page abstract (2 pages text + 2 pages with supporting figures and tables). The deadline of submission is January 9th 2017.
