The Business Development Manager is a person who thrives on driving the achievement of revenue goals and is ultimately responsible for developing new business opportunities and increasing revenues within Ontario and Eastern Canada.

This individual is responsible for sales of pipeline inspection and monitoring solutions to utility and industrial customers as well as maintaining the satisfaction of existing business relationships in the region. Building on Pure’s strong track record, the individual will be expected to grow an existing sales funnel using an established CRM and by collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

The market serviced is very diverse with many players and potential clients; as such this role requires strategic thinking, accuracy, innovation and strong negotiation skills which are all critical to securing millions of dollars in revenue. A strong technical understanding of Pure’s solutions is an asset, along with the ability to work within Pure’s team sales concept.

Working under the guidance of the Director of Business Development, duties will include helping develop strategic customer account plans, communicating with potential customers, proposal development as well as the development of incremental and new business opportunities to maintain and increase revenue within the region.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within North America interacting with clients in project management capacity
  • Experience in client presentations, workshop delivery and participation at industry conferences
  • Track record of sales with examples of business development considered an asset
  • B2B marketing experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge of underground infrastructure including pipelines
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in French preferred, but not necessary
