CIMA+ is seeking an Intermediate Project Engineer for our Kitchener office with experience and interest in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position will provide the opportunity to join a team of passionate and highly skilled professionals who drive success and foster an innovative and progressive culture in a collaborative environment.

  • Prepare environmental assessments, technical memoranda, design briefs, project cost estimates and reports
  • Develop detailed design documents including technical drawings, specifications and contract documents
  • Coordinate multi-discipline design team activities and monitor progress to maintain control of the schedule and delivery due dates
  • Maintain project planning documentation for design and engineering services including work procedures and cost control processes
  • Liaise with clients, government and regulatory authorities to address specific project needs, and guide a project through the planning, design and approvals processes
  • Participate in business development including the preparation of proposals and client presentations


  • Professional Engineer designation in Ontario with 8+ years of professional experience in project planning and design of water infrastructure projects
  • Enthusiastic individual with the ability to work as part of a dynamic hands-on team delivering innovative and forward thinking design solutions
  • Strong work ethic, motivation and self-management skills
  • Solid technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in writing reports
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
