Maintenance Electrician/Operator

As a member of a cross-functional and engaged team, you will work in an environment that focuses on service excellence and environmental stewardship. You will maintain and repair electrical wiring, service lights, intercom systems, electrical control systems, fixtures and equipment in the operation of the Water Filtration Plant, the Wastewater Treatment Plants, associated pump stations, booster stations for InnServices, Town of Innisfil and affiliated organizations. Ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes, you will also operate, adjust, test and evaluate processes that control subsystems for efficiency/effectiveness.

Responsibilities also include Operator duties as assigned in the water and/or wastewater facilities as a Utilities Operator such as daily operations of assigned facility, rounds/inspections,  monitoring and recording characteristics and equipment data, and performing preventative or planned operational maintenance.

We are seeking a dedicated and driven self-starter who thrives working in a collaborative  environment, understands the merits of high safety standards, and has a strong sense of community. Your secondary school diploma and maintenance of Electrician Certificate of Qualification from an apprenticeship program, is complimented by a minimum of five years’ experience as a Maintenance Electrician. You will also have experience working with Instrumental PLC’s and SCADA systems, troubleshooting pumps and drives (VFDs), and industrial wiring. Operator in Training (OIT) Certifications are required in Water Treatment, Water Distribution and Supply, Wastewater Collection and Treatment or you must be able to obtain OIT within 6 months of being on the job.

A Valid Class G driver’s licence and ability to participate in an on-call program is required.
