OPERATOR/LABOURER – WATER/WASTEWATER

The Water/Wastewater Operator/Labourer will be an integral part of a team which operates equipment and performs functions to maintain the Township’s water treatment facilities, water distribution systems, wastewater treatment facilities and wastewater collection systems.

Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain M.O.E.C.C. Operator Licences to the rating of Township facilities (currently WTIII, WDII, WWTII, WWCII), and at a minimum must possess Operator-in-Training licenses in both Water and Wastewater.  Post-Secondary education at the community college level in a related field of technology or several years’ experience and related courses is required.  A good working knowledge of computers is required, as well as knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, regulations and requirements.

The salary range for this position is $25.83 to $30.41 per hour based on a 40 hour work week, with a variety of standby, overtime and emergency call-out duties. The Township offers a comprehensive benefit package. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance of the office or be willing to relocate.
