Echologics is currently searching for a Product Manager to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:


  • Management of the Echologics core equipment product line with direct reports with the support of two Product Owners
  • Responsible for the priority setting, mentoring, goal setting and day to day management of the Product Management team
  • Responsible for overall management of products and services throughout the product life cycle. Ensure optimum growth and profitability of the category
  • Define and plan new product lines, features, and enhancements and help to prioritize the product roadmap. Set strategic direction based on customer needs and business goals
  • Conducts business case analysis on new products and services to determine profitability, portfolio positioning, marketing & sales strategy, and placement forecast and success metrics
  • Develop clear product messaging and provide clear value distinction in the market place
  • Meet with clients and prospects to understand needs, problems, objectives, and business pains to drive solution demonstrations that meet key needs
  • Understand, define and communicate the competitive landscape for the product and service category
  • Development of internal and external marketing specific deliverables such as launch announcements, product alerts, competitive bulletins, sales tools, marketing programs and marketing collaterals required for successful product launch
  • Maintain and develop sales tools, product description, product books, technical details and qualification criteria
  • Active participation in sales and marketing efforts and support customer events (e.g. trade shows, presentations etc.)
  • Develop knowledge of competitor’s technologies and offerings and provide the sales team with Comparative competitive analyses
  • Work with the sales leadership and product management team on a yearly basis to set and update pricing
  • Maintain close interaction with field sales force and customer base and acts as resource for product and market related inquiries
  • Maintains relationships with – and gather information from – outside resources (consultants, research companies) that can be fed into competitive analysis and product planning
  • Help develop and monitor effective marketing campaigns to grow and diversify customer base
  • Manage budgets and ROI on marketing spends
  • Liaison between sales manager and development managers for products and services.
  • Establishes and maintains product floor price, approves pricing for integrated solutions, and understands, resolves and mitigates cross product impacts enterprise-wide
  • Works with finance and reporting resources to define requirements for analysis and reporting related to key data such as forecasting, placements, revenue, profitability etc.  for different products and services
  • Works in compliance with the Mueller Water Products Core Values and Code of Conduct and all Environment, Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Business is considered a strong asset
  • 5+ years of product management or related experience
  • Ability to break down a complex project into manageable tasks and prioritize them
  • The ability to coordinate marketing plans and promotions
  • Proficient computer skills and advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office suites including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced negotiation, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced communication skills (written and verbal), with proven ability to express complex ideas in a simplified logical manner.
  • High level of proficiency in PMI fundamentals and methodology.
  • Product knowledge of the Water product industries is considered an asset
  • Experience with mobile and web technology
  • PMI — Project Management Professional (PMP) designation also considered to be an asset
