PROJECT MANAGER, WATER
ASI Group Ltd., founded in 1987 as Aquatic Sciences Inc., is a full-service engineering and marine
technology company comprised of two groups; ASI Water which has extensive experience in design,
build, and operation of drinking water and wastewater systems and ASI Marine, which offers a full
range of underwater inspection, mapping and light construction services.

ASI Group Ltd. is currently searching for an experienced and skilled Project Manager to support
strategic growth in the Water Group. The successful candidate will be motivated, organized and
committed to delivering the highest standard of customer service.
The Project Manager, Water will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project’s lifecycle
including resource planning, overseeing field operations and ensuring that all contractual
requirements are met and carried out in compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory
requirements.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a related technical field (Civil Engineering, Industrial Design,
Engineering Technology) along with professional certification in field of study (CET, P.Eng)
• Project Management Professional Certification or actively working towards
• A minimum of 5 years of related project management experience
• Demonstrated project management skills including the management of client needs, project scope,
budget, resources, staff and the ability to provide deliverables within agreed upon timelines
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, with a priority on understanding
structural drawings
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose process problems and manage remedial action
• Thorough knowledge of cost control and the ability to forecast budget, staffing and equipment
needs
• Familiarity with relevant regulations including Safe Drinking Water Act, Ontario Water Resources
Act, Environmental Protection Act, Nutrient Management Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and to supervise and carry out field projects
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills in order to delegate work tasks and
maintain equipment readiness
• Outstanding customer service skills and able to work in a team setting
• Must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions
• Licensing in water and wastewater treatment, distribution and collection considered an asset
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook
and AutoCad
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License (Class G minimum) and maintain a clean driving record
• A valid passport and willingness to travel frequently

This position will be based out of the corporate office which will be relocating from St.
Catharines to Stoney Creek in the fall of 2017.
