Position Purpose
Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure Engineering, is responsible for the planning and implementation of capital projects as part of the 10-year Capital program, including project management services for, condition assessments, technical studies, technical and process support and review of design and construction of wastewater treatment facilities, sewage pumping stations and odour control facilities.

Project Manager: $106,029 – $124,677 annually;
Senior Project Manager: $115,204 – $135,509 annually

• Successful completion of a University Degree in Engineering or approved related Engineering field.
• Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with the Professional Engineers Ontario.
• Project Manager : Minimum of five (5) years’ experience (inclusive of E.I.T. experience) in any or all aspects of wastewater facilities, water main, sanitary sewer, pumping station as well as water and wastewater treatment plant design, with demonstrated commitment to design quality and process as well as complex project management experience.
• Senior Project Manager: Minimum seven (7) years of experience (inclusive of EIT experience) in the planning, design, construction and operation of wastewater facilities, with demonstrated commitment to design quality and process as well complex project management experience.
• Experience in the planning, approvals, optimization, design, construction and operating processes of municipal wastewater discrete infrastructure including wastewater treatment facilities, sewage pump stations and odour control facilities. (Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience.
• Valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and reliable vehicle for use on corporate business.
• Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including communication, innovation, teamwork and collaboration, and personal ownership.
• Leadership competencies including operating strategically, leveraging diversity and differences, customer focused, ensuring accountability, managing complex problems, financial management, employing interactive and effective communication, fostering collaborative relationships, cultivating engagement to drive vision and purpose, managing and developing talent, establishing and maintaining trust, displaying self-awareness, and demonstrating resiliency.
• Contemporary staff supervisory skills including knowledge of collective agreement administration and interpretation, labour relations principles and practices, and relevant employment legislation.
• Demonstrated project management skills to lead a project or work group including consultants/ contractors and oversee construction contracts, organize numerous tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines and budgets.
• Computer literacy utilizing MS Office applications in a windows environment and project management applications (e.g. MS Project or Primavera).
• Ability to negotiate/facilitate and present information and consult with varied audiences.
• Ability to apply sound customer service strategies and innovation in product delivery methods.
• Ability to identify areas for constructive change and communicate issues and potential solutions to management.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours as required.
