The Township of Lucan Biddulph is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of:


            Public Works Labourer/Equipment Operator




HOURS: 7:00AM – 3:30PM with unpaid ½ hour lunch (40 hrs/week)

2018 WAGE RATE – $21.42 – $25.05 (under review)

Under the direction of the Public Works Manager and the Water Supervisor, this person will assist the Water Supervisor in the performance of various water related functions such as locates, installation of water meters, maintenance of valves, flushing of water mains etc.

This position will also perform other general labourer/equipment operator functions including the operation of a snow plow, road sander, water tank and dump attachments, pick up truck, tractors, chain saws, other power and hand tools; maintain equipment, vehicles and tools in safe operating condition by following acceptable maintenance and servicing schedules; assist with construction and maintenance on municipal infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, water mains, sanitary sewers and storm drain projects; cut and clear brush and trees from roadsides and remove debris and rubbish from roadsides and adjacent areas and perform other related duties as assigned.
