Salary: $62,400 ++ depending on qualifications and fit.

As a Senior Water and Wastewater Consultant, you will support clients address technical issues related to operational, maintenance, management and design (basic) challenges. This will include physically assessing treatment systems, drafting operational and maintenance procedures, helping address client issues (compliance challenges, equipment replacement/troubleshooting, process upsets, etc), and preparing draft emails/reports.

JOB Responsibilities

Aureus is seeking a dynamic, independent and focused individual to help:

  • Develop wastewater and drinking water operating manuals, standard operating procedures, emergency plans and other relevant policies and procedures
  • Investigate and prepare responses to client issues (operations, maintenance, management, minor design)
  • Conduct treatment system assessments within North America
  • Perform basic video editing on water and wastewater videos
  • Research and interpret legislation

Opportunities to expand into other sectors (environmental compliance, EMS) may be available.

SKILLS

To succeed in this position, you must have:

  • Ability to work with others, including treatment system operators.
  • Exceptional skills in planning, organization, time management and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment with tight deadlines;
  • Ability to interpret and understand legislation, policies and procedures, protocols, and related guidelines;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
  • Excellent writing, editing and formatting skills;
  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure of deadlines.

Location                     Flexible work location. Position will be managed from Kingston, ON.

Education                   Diploma or Degree (Min 2 year program) in Environmental, Water/Wastewater or related field.
