Supervisor, Utilities Operations
As part of our ‘One Town, One Team’ approach, InnServices Utilities Inc. is the exciting new
company created by the Town of Innisfil to deliver water and wastewater services to Innisfil and
other municipalities.

A member of a collaborative and innovative team, you will work in an environment that focuses on
service excellence and environmental stewardship. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling,
and supervising all operations and maintenance activities, staff, projects and support services for
InnServices Utilities Inc., as well as assumes the Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) duties for
water and wastewater systems (subject to possessing the required water and wastewater
certifications). You will coordinate and oversee routine maintenance and inspections of the water
and wastewater systems while ensuring compliance with Provincial Legislation and Corporate policies
for the protection of public health and safety; as well as prepare reports and attend Board,
community and public meetings as required and stay current with legislative and regulatory
guidelines.

We are seeking a dedicated and driven self-starter who thrives working in a collaborative
environment, understands the merits of high safety standards, demonstrated strong leadership and
interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of community. Your community College diploma from a
recognized educational institution with a focus in Civil Engineering, Environmental Studies or
related field is required, a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset, and
a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a water and wastewater treatment utility
environment, with a minimum of two (2) years managerial/supervisory experience in a unionized
environment.
Also required are Ministry of Environment certifications: Class III Water Treatment, Class III
Water Distribution and Supply, Class III Wastewater Treatment and Class II Wastewater Collection.
Applicants with Water Certifications only will be considered (In such case, you will be required to
supervise both the Water and Wastewater service areas, but only perform ORO duties for the Water
Treatment and Distribution and Supply systems). A Valid Class G driver’s licence and access to a
reliable vehicle to use for corporate business is required, as is the ability to attend evening and
weekend meetings or other events as required. Closing date is November 28, 2018.
