Water Services Operator (Full-Time)

As a Water services Operator you “Take Care of Banff” by ensuring the quality of our water and water systems is exceptional. As part of this team, you’ll get to know our town’s infrastructure … from the inside out! You will interact with residents and business owners who rely on the condition of that infrastructure and expect our water supply to be clean and safe.

You join a dedicated group of employees known to work hard and show passion and caring for our environment through safe and diligent practices. We take pride in serving our community of 9,000 residents, with a tourist and seasonal population which can exceed 30,000.

You have at least 3 years’ field experience and level I certification in water distribution, wastewater collection, water treatment and or wastewater treatment. You’ll need a class 3Q Alberta driver’s licence with air endorsement, and experience in operating heavy and light equipment. Standard CPR and First Aid certifications are required.

Starting at $31.75/hour, we offer a progressive wage structure which rewards certification levels with pay increments based on the number of current certifications held. We offer a variety of internal and external training and development opportunities to assist you in your professional advancement.
