Water Wastewater Compliance Coordinator

The Municipality of North Grenville is accepting resumes from interested and qualified candidates
for the position of a full-time Water Wastewater Compliance Coordinator.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Superintendent of Environmental Services, the Water Wastewater Compliance
Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Superintendent of Environmental
Services in ensuring that the Municipal water and wastewater systems are operated in compliance
with all legislation, regulations and approved Municipal policies. The Water Wastewater Compliance
Coordinator is the designated Quality Management System Representative for the Kemptville Drinking
Water System. This position is responsible for monitoring and supporting the operators in their
duties related to compliance in all operational aspects of the Municipal water and wastewater
systems. The Water Wastewater Compliance Coordinator is also responsible for the supervision of all
Ministry inspections related to the water and wastewater systems including the collection and
delivery of all requested data prior to and following the inspections.

Position Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Environmental Services or Water/Wastewater or equivalent
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the operations of publicly-owned water and wastewater
systems
• Experience as a licensed water and/or wastewater operator considered an asset
• Excellent knowledge of provincial legislation, guidelines and best practices relating to
municipal water and wastewater systems
• Thorough knowledge of quality management systems and auditing processes
• Thorough knowledge and working understanding of water and wastewater treatment
operations and process control techniques
• Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment and demonstrated experience with database
management, GIS, SCADA and other relevant software programs
• Superior customer service, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills combined with
excellent written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to balance diverse,
changing and conflicting priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work independently
• Strong team and leadership abilities
• Valid and in good standing Class G drivers’ license
• Valid and satisfactory Police Records Check with Vulnerable Persons Search

The annual salary range for this position is $59,113 – $73,892 and is based on a 35
