In a team environment, you will drive vehicles, operate tools and equipment and perform physical labour in all weather conditions to ensure the continuous delivery of water and wastewater services according to adopted and legislated operational, maintenance and repair standards and procedures.

At a minimum, you have a current, valid Operator-in-Training Certificate and the willingness and ability to obtain both a Class II Water Distribution System Operator’s license and a Class I Wastewater Collection System Operator’s license. You have applied knowledge of safe vehicle operation and safe construction practices and technical knowledge of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Ontario Water Resources Act and associated regulations and standards.

With two years of relevant experience and a valid DZ driver’s license, you have a mechanical aptitude, are adept at identifying and solving problems and performing mathematical calculations.

This union position offers a starting hourly rate of $27.64, based on 40 hours weekly and comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
