Youth Education Committee

Welcome to the OWWA Youth Education Committee page

What We Do

The goal of the Youth Education Committee is to develop programs and techniques that will educate students (from Grades 2 to 12) about the importance of water – conservation, protection, and technology. As well, our committee works to encourage students to consider a career in the water industry.

Committee Activities

Our committee is very active assisting with Children’s Water Festivals in many communities across the province.

We are also involved in developing a secondary school Water Treatment Competition Pilot, and hope to move ahead with this teaching tool when approval is received. In addition, we are working to provide information on careers in the water industry for high school students.
