Join the OWWA Young Professionals Committee for an interactive learning experience with five of the leading manufacturers from the water industry. Learn how to specify instruments and equipment like a pro! At the Beyond the Specs session you will learn what, how and when to use various equipment in the water industry. In small groups, attendees will move through the interactive stations, learning about the options and discussing with suppliers. Specs for pumps, valves, instrumentation (flow meters and monitors), and pipes will be discussed, and each group will have an opportunity to visit every station. Get all of your Spec questions answered and network with other young professionals. Register early for this exciting event!

Save the date for the first ever Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Green Infrastructure Conference, May 31 – June 2, 2017, at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan. This conference will draw up to 1,000 engineers, landscape architects, water quality professionals, government officials (local, state, provincial, and federal), developers, planners, academia, drain and road agencies, conservation and non-profit organizations, and interest groups from around the Great Lakes basin in Canada and the U.S.
This is the first conference to focus on using green infrastructure across the landscape with a primary goal to protect the surface waters in the Great Lakes region. The time is right for a comprehensive look at this important topic.
